These Art Glass Plates and Bowls are constructed from dozens of handcut pieces of glass and assembled into a circular design. The base design is then introduced to the kiln and heated to a temperature in excess of 800 degrees C.
Additions to the design and further fusing in the kiln produces a flat design which is then finally ready for slumping into its final shape.
A plate or bowl will spend over 45 hours in the kiln during its construction.
Bowls are produced in 3 different sizes. My stock items are normally clear but almost any colour combination can be produced.
